Jonathan started working with Canpar in 2008 and since that time he has worked at four different terminals, his home terminal now being London, Ontario. He began his involvement with the Local in 2013 when he started attending his Unit’s monthly Union meetings. He was appointed as Shop Steward in 2017, and then as the Unit Chair in 2018. Recently, he was one of two recipients of the Dawit Amare Scholarship in 2022 and now proudly represents his Canpar members as a Union Business Agent and a member of the Board of Trustees for the local.
